By Kiran Dasari,(period 9)

1. x = (c+b)/a
2. x = (c-b)/a
3. r = s/(2*(22/7)*h)
4. y = (2+b*x)/a
5. p = (t-s)/r
6. x = (h+2)/d
7. y = (x-2)/3
8. y = (-1/2)x+3 (4)
9. r = i/pt
10.x = -a
11.x = (c-2y)/2a
12.a = (x+b*b)/2

hi mr. napoli, this is theresa. here's the homework:
BUT I'M NOT SURE ABOUT ANY OF THEM.

1] x=(c+b)/a
2] x=(c-b)/a
3] r=s/(2 "pi" h)
4] y=(2+bx)/a
5] p=(t-s)/r
6] x=(h+2)/d
7] y=(x-2)/3
8] the answer might be 3) y=-x+3 or 2) y=-one halve x plus six or I DON'T KNOW! >.<
9] r=i/(pt)
10] a/x?
11] x=(c-2y)/2a
12] a= (x + b squared)/2

I'M REALLY NOTTTTTTT SURE ABOUT THEM ><
thank you...........

Homework Sept. 25, 2008:
Solving Literal Equations

1)Solve for x in terms of a, b, and c: ax-b=c

ax-b=c
ax=c+b
x=(c+b)/a

2)Solve for x in terms of a, b, and c: ax+b=c
ax+b=c
ax=c-b
x=(c-b)/a

3)Solve for r in terms of s, π, and h: s=2πrh

s=2πrh
s=(2πrh)/2πh
r=s/(2πh)

4) solve for y in terms of a, b, and x: ay-bx=2

ay-bx=2
ay=2+bx
y=(2+bx)/a

5) solve for p in terms of r, s, and t: rp+s=t

rp+s=t
rp=t-s
p=(t-s)/r

6) if dx-2=h, then x is equal to

dx-2=h
dx=h+2
x=(h+2)/d

7) solve for y in terms of x:
3y+2=x

3y+2=x
3y=x-2
y=(x-2)/3

8) which equation is equivalent to x+2y=6

1) y=-x+6 Answer: 4
2) y=-(1/2)x+6
3) y=-x+3
4) y=-(1/2)x+3

x+2y=6
2y=6-x
y=(6-x)/2
y=3+(1/2)x

9) Solve for r in terms of p, t, and i: i=prt

i=prt
r=i/(pt)

10) if 9x+2a=-3a+4x, then x equals

9x+2a=-3a+4x
9x-4x=-3a-2a
5x=-5a
x=-5a/5
x=-a

11) in terms of c, y, and a, what is the value of x in the equation:
2ax+2y=c
2ax=c-2y
x=(c-2y)/2a

12) if x=2a-b^2, then a equals

x=2a-b^2
b^2+x=2a
a=(b^2+x)/2
